Kiipula is an education and rehabilitation services provider in Southern Finland. We focus on providing services to people with an impaired ability to work or function. Students and clients include people with physical or intellectual disabilities, mental health disorders and other long-term illnesses. Our mission is to provide our students and clients with equal educational opportunities, improved well-being and functional capacity in- & outside of work.

Training and rehabilitation courses are delivered in Kiipula’s main campus in Turenki, as well as in nine cities across Southern Finland: Hämeenlinna, Tampere, Lahti, Kouvola, Forssa, Riihimäki, Hyvinkää, Vantaa and Espoo.

Kiipula Vocational Education and Rehabilitation Centre is maintained by Kiipula Foundation, which was established in 1945 with the rehabilitation of patients recovering from tuberculosis. Special needs education in the area dates back to 1890, when the first Finnish-language school for students with special needs was founded in Perttula.
