Kiipula Foundation operates in the fields of education, rehabilitation, well-being services, business events, gardening and accommodation.
Kiipula Foundation supervises Kiipula Vocational College, Rehabilitation Centre, Avire Ltd, Kiipula Company Services, Kiipula Guest House and Kiipula Gardens.
Our mission is to provide all our customers with equal educational opportunities, improved well-being and functional capacity in every day life.
In Kiipula, we focus on providing services to people with an impaired ability to work or function. Students and clients include people with physical or intellectual disabilities, mental health disorders and other long-term illnesses. Training and rehabilitation courses are delivered in Kiipula’s main campus in Turenki, as well as in nine cities across Southern Finland: Hämeenlinna, Tampere, Lahti, Kouvola, Forssa, Riihimäki, Hyvinkää, Vantaa and Espoo.
Kiipula Vocational Education and Rehabilitation Centre is maintained by Kiipula Foundation, which was established in 1945 with the rehabilitation of patients recovering from tuberculosis. Special needs education in the area dates back to 1890, when the first Finnish-language school for students with special needs was founded in Perttula.
